Brian Mee: A Sidecar Racing Legend Throughout the 1970s, Brian Mee left an indelible mark on the world of sidecar racing. Teaming up with various talented partners and riding powerful machines from renowned manufacturers such as Kawasaki, BSA, and Renwick Konig, Mee showcased his exceptional skills and determination on some of the most challenging tracks in the sport. In 1970, alongside P Louis, Mee tackled the formidable 500cc Sidecar TT aboard a BSA. The duo's relentless drive propelled them to new heights as they fearlessly maneuvered through treacherous turns and pushed their machine to its limits. Their performance was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The following year saw Mee teaming up once again with Colin Newbold for both the 500cc and 750cc Sidecar TT races. Together, they demonstrated remarkable synergy on their BSA bikes, leaving spectators breathless as they conquered each lap with precision and finesse. Mick Neal became Mee's partner in crime in 1974 when they took on the grueling challenge of the Sidecar 750 TT race astride a Renwick Konig machine. Their unwavering determination paid off as they crossed the finish line triumphantly amidst thunderous applause from adoring fans. Not one to rest on his laurels, Mee continued his winning streak in subsequent years. In collaboration with Colin Taylor in 1975 and Alan Widdowson in both '77 races (all aboard Kawasaki motorcycles), he proved time and again that he was a force to be reckoned with. However, it was perhaps during his partnership with Vic Sampson in 1978 that Brian truly etched himself into sidecar racing history books.
