In September 2021, Brubeck returned to Loughton Methodist Church with his quartet consisting of Matt Ridley, Darius Brubeck (his son), and Wesley Gibbens. This time it was not only about incredible music but also supporting a noble cause through the NJA Fundraiser event. The quartet's performance was nothing short of extraordinary; each member brought their unique flair to the stage, creating an atmosphere filled with soulful improvisation and heartfelt compositions. Dave O Higgins also joined forces with the Darius Brubeck Quartet during this memorable evening at Loughton Methodist Church. His saxophone skills added another layer of depth to their already mesmerizing soundscapes. Reflecting back on his illustrious career, one cannot forget Dave Brubeck's captivating performance at the North Sea Jazz Festival in The Hague, Netherlands in 2004. It was there that he once again proved why he is considered one of jazz's greatest icons – his piano playing transcended boundaries while leaving audiences awe-inspired. From London to Essex and beyond, whether performing alongside renowned musicians or leading his own quartet, Darius Brubeck continues to carry on his father's legacy.
