"Buckler: A Timeless Symbol of Protection and Valor" In the world of medieval archery, the name Buckler evokes images of skilled marksmanship and unwavering defense. Dockhead Folly in Bermondsey, London, witnessed countless arrows launched by courageous archers like John Chessell Buckler himself in 1820. The Knights of the Round Table knew no fear when faced with mythical creatures. Lancelot's legendary battle against a fearsome dragon showcased his prowess as he wielded his trusty buckler to ward off its fiery breath. Geoffroi V Le Bel Plantagenet left an indelible mark on history, immortalized through art at Fonthill Abbey. His portrait depicted him holding a buckler, symbolizing his noble lineage and unwavering strength. St Luke's Church in Chelsea stood tall as a testament to architectural beauty in 1847. Its west view revealed intricate details including depictions of Mars and Venus embracing under the watchful eye of a celestial buckler.
