"core23: A Tapestry of Moments, Stories, and Cheers" In the heart of Newcastle, a tramp finds solace on a worn bench, seeking refuge in the bottom of his bottle. Meanwhile, across town at Wootton Wawen's Navigation pub, Matthew Moseley proudly serves pints to locals with a warm smile. At the Mauretania Pub in Wallsend, three regulars immerse themselves in the pages of the Newcastle Journal while savoring their drinks. The bar buzzes with laughter and camaraderie as locals gather together for an evening filled with stories and shared moments. Amidst this tapestry of lives is Mrs Hilary Williams from Marshfield near Cardiff - a hardworking clerk at Unigates depot who enjoys her well-deserved drink after a long day. And just like Shirley Bassey saluting 1957 with her glass held high, she too celebrates life's triumphs. Behind the bar of Princess of Wales pub in February 1957 stands Mrs Hockey diligently serving patrons their favorite tipples. Her dedication echoes that found within Whitbreads Ale & Stout Pub back in July 1949 when members eagerly awaited their turn at the saloon bar. Not far away from these scenes lies another tale - one where young couples flirt over cups of tea and biscuits; innocent gestures that speak volumes about budding romance. In London Zoo circa 1953 during those nostalgic 1950s days, even baby orangutans join in on refreshing sips. Lastly but not leastly are ABWW2 sailors gathered around a pub bar admiring an enchanting barmaid. Their eyes tell tales untold as they raise glasses to friendship forged through shared experiences and cherished memories.
