The Curt Teich Company, known for its iconic postcards, captured the essence of various moments in history. In 1936, they showcased an advertising postcard from the Undertakers Supply Company featuring their mascot, Embalming Chemical Man. This peculiar character was made entirely out of bottles filled with embalming fluid and humorously declared "I'm on my way. " Transporting us back to 1913 is a postcard depicting a daring woman riding a bull. The sheer audacity and thrill captured in this image are truly remarkable. Fast forward to 1924 when Florida's sunny beaches beckoned vacationers. A smiling woman basking in the warmth radiates joy through her sun-kissed face as she sends greetings from this tropical paradise. Another beachside snapshot takes us to Atlantic City in 1921. A woman captures the beauty of the ocean with her camera while enjoying a leisurely day at the shore. In 1941, Mathie Ruder Brewing Company enticed beer enthusiasts with an advertisement showcasing "The Whole Family. " This clever marketing ploy aimed to appeal to all members of society who enjoyed their refreshing brews. Sunbathing became increasingly popular during the early twentieth century, as depicted by a charming postcard from 1922 aptly titled "Taking a Sun Bath. " It illustrates people's desire for relaxation and rejuvenation under warm rays. A rather cheeky postcard from 1916 shows women playfully being spanked on Florida's coast—a testament to carefree times where innocent fun took center stage. Howard Chandler Christy's lithograph created for a Boy Scout Jamboree in 1937 brings together America's founding fathers and young scouts—an inspiring representation of patriotism and leadership passed down through generations. Florida continues its reign as the land of sunshine with yet another vibrant greeting card dating back to World War II era (1942). Its radiant colors invite recipients into a world of warmth and happiness.
