"Derbyshire Yamaha: A Legacy of Sidecar Racing Excellence" For over three decades, it has been synonymous with sidecar racing excellence. From the early days in 1981 to the late nineties, this team has left an indelible mark on the prestigious Sidecar TT races. In 1985, Pat Gallagher and Alan Blackhurst took to the track with their Derbyshire Yamaha machine, showcasing their skill and determination. Their performance set a precedent for future teams who would proudly carry the Derbyshire Yamaha name. Alistair Lewis and Richard Dumble continued this legacy in 1981, displaying incredible teamwork and precision as they navigated through challenging terrains. Their dedication paid off as they crossed the finish line with triumph. The year 1992 saw Glyn Turner and Kim Charlesworth take center stage on their Derbyshire Yamaha sidecar. The duo's unwavering commitment to perfection earned them a well-deserved spot among racing legends. Dennis Proudman and B Forth made waves in 1988 when they unleashed their full potential on the racecourse. With every twist and turn, they proved that Derbyshire Yamaha was a force to be reckoned with. Chris Lawrance and Richard Lawrance became synonymous with success during multiple Sidecar TT races throughout the '90s. Their partnership was unparalleled as they conquered each challenge thrown at them by competitors vying for victory. Notably, Dennis Proudman teamed up with Dave Wood in 1990 under the banner once again. Together, they showcased remarkable resilience amidst fierce competition while leaving spectators awestruck by their skills. Gordon Jones and Julie Jones joined forces in that same year to represent Derbyshire Yamaha on yet another thrilling adventure at Sidecar TT races. They exemplified true sportsmanship while pushing themselves beyond limits few could fathom. The Lawrance brothers returned in both '96 and '99 editions of the Sidecar TT races, further cementing their place in history.
