Marriage of Greville Worthington and Diana Duncombe

A very tall groom, Mr William Greville Worthington (1903 - 1942) with his considerably shorter bride, Miss Mary Diana Duncombe (1905 - 1943) after their wedding at St. Margaret's, Westminster on 31 May 1927. The couple had four children together but divorced in 1942. In the same year, Worthington was shot by a sentry after not hearing him being asked to identify himself. The following October, his ex-wife Diana committed suicide. Date: 1927

Lady Diana and Elizabeth Percy by Madame Yevonde

Lady Diana and Elizabeth Percy, the two daughters of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland. Lady Diana was being presented by her mother at one of the June courts. She married the Duke of Sutherland in 1939 at Westminster Abbey. Her elder sister Elizabeth (1916-2008), married the 14th Duke of Hamilton in 1937 at St. Giles, Edinburgh and had five sons. Wedding of Diana Mitford and Bryan Guinness

Group wedding photograph showing the bride, Mrs Bryan Guinness, formerly Miss Diana Freeman Mitford, with eleven bridesmaids. From left, Miss Diana Churchill, Miss Mercer-Nairne, the Hon. Nancy Mitford, the Bride, the Hon. Unity Mitford, Miss Rosemary Mitford (cousin), Miss Rosalie Willoughby and Miss Oonagh Guinness; and , in front, Lady Jean Ogilvy, Miss Grania Guinness, Lady Patricia Guinness and Lady Brigid Guinness. According to The Sketch, the child attendants wore long-skired frocks of cream tulle with gold tissue bodices and the grown-up bridesmaids had parchment coloured skirts.
