"Dolbina Tancrei: A Fascinating World of Hawkmoths and Caterpillars" In the lush landscapes of Shogran, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, a Saunders bee hawkmoth finds solace as it gracefully rests upon a vibrant leaf. Its delicate wings shimmer in the sunlight, showcasing nature's intricate beauty. Meanwhile, in Amarakaeri, a snake-mimic caterpillar known as Hemeroplanes triptolemus emerges from its hiding place. With its striking resemblance to a serpent, this hawkmoth caterpillar cleverly camouflages itself among the foliage. Venturing to another part of the world, we encounter the Sphinx hawk moth species Hemeroplanes triptolemus once again. This time in close proximity with an Elephant Hawkmoth (Deilephila elpenor), their captivating presence leaves us mesmerized by their unique patterns and colors. Captive-bred Small elephant hawk-moths (Deilephila porcellus) make an appearance on stems nearby. These magnificent creatures were carefully nurtured after being collected as larvae during previous years' expeditions - a testament to our dedication towards understanding these elusive insects. As we delve deeper into Italy's Umbria region, we stumble upon the Striped hawkmoth (Hyles livornica). Caught using an MV light trap against a backdrop of blooming flowers, this majestic creature showcases its elegance while resting peacefully. The Broad-bordered bee hawk-moth (Hemaris fuciformis) is another enchanting sight that graces our presence. Nectaring on Lavender flowers in Orvieto or Wood cranesbill in Finland during June and July respectively; they bring joy with their graceful movements and vibrant hues. Moving further north to Finland's picturesque landscapes reveals yet more wonders.
