Gregg Richards, a man of many interests and talents, was captured in various moments throughout history. In 1980, he attended an unforgettable concert by The Count Basie Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The energy and rhythm of the music filled the air as Gregg immersed himself in this extraordinary experience. But Gregg's passions extended beyond music. He had a deep appreciation for literature and understood the importance of proper care for books. A vintage poster from 1938 caught his attention, reminding him that "This Breaks the Back of a Book. " It urged readers to handle their beloved novels with care, encouraging them to use bookmarks instead. Another poster emphasized the significance of maintaining library books: "Don't Gum Up a Book. " Gregg believed that every page held valuable knowledge waiting to be discovered by future readers. Rain or shine, he knew that protecting books from water damage was essential – "Rain is Bad for a Book. " Gregg's diverse interests didn't stop there; he also admired sports history. This image fascinated Gregg as it represented an iconic moment in baseball history. In addition to his wide-ranging hobbies, Gregg cherished personal connections too. A studio portrait captured two young girls joyfully posing with their spaniel companion – a heartwarming depiction of love and friendship. Finally, an engraving depicting Dublin's Great Industrial Exhibition transported Gregg back in time to witness technological advancements shaping society during that era. With such varied experiences and interests under his belt, it was no wonder why people often found themselves saying about Gregg: "I'm Going To Get Lit Up" – not only referring to his vibrant personality but also acknowledging how he illuminated any room with fascinating stories from different walks of life.
