Florence Nightingale (1820-1910) - celebrated English social reformer and statistician, and the founder of modern nursing. Rose to to prominence as manager of nurses trained by her during the Crimean War, becoming a Victorian icon as the Lady with the Lamp'. Date: 1908

This picture shows the pooling of the blood returned to the depot after being obtained during the day by the blood transfusion teams.
