Heinz Luthringhauser, a legendary sidecar racer, left an indelible mark on the world of motorsports. Throughout his career, he formed formidable partnerships with talented co-drivers like Rudi Kurth and Dane Rowe from Crescent, as well as Jurgen Cusnik and Hermann Hahn from BMW. In 1972, Heinz Luthringhauser joined forces with Jurgen Cusnik to conquer the challenging 500 Sidecar TT race. Their unwavering determination propelled them to victory amidst fierce competition. The following year, Heinz teamed up with Hermann Hahn for another triumph in the 500cc Sidecar TT event. Luthringhauser's prowess was evident even before these victories. In 1967, he showcased his exceptional skills alongside Josef Huber at the Sidecar TT race. This dynamic duo displayed unmatched precision and speed on their BMW machine. The years that followed were equally remarkable for Luthringhauser as he continued to dominate the racing scene. Teaming up with Lorenzo Puzo in 1976, they conquered yet another challenge in the prestigious 500 Sidecar TT race. Notably known for his versatility and adaptability on different tracks, Heinz achieved notable success in various categories including the 750 Sidecar TT races. In both 1971 and 1974 events, he partnered with Josef Cusnik and Hermann Hahn respectively to secure podium finishes. His lop-sided podium finish became iconic among racing enthusiasts who admired his tenacity despite facing adversity.
