The Infiniti Pro Series and PPG-Dayton Indy Lights Championship showcased intense racing action in 2004. Travis Gregg of Sam Schmidt Motorsports shone in the Menards Infiniti Pro Series, finishing third in the California 100 and second in the Texas 100. Jeff Simmons, racing for Kenn Hardley Racing, also made an impression, placing second in the California 100. In the PPG-Dayton Indy Lights Championship, Cristiano da Matta clinched both the race and championship title in the Lola GS-Buick T98 / 20. Meanwhile, Thiago Medeiros took the checkered flag in the Texas 100 and secured the 2004 Menards Infiniti Pro Series championship title.
