Jean Limbourg was a talented artist who lived during the 15th century. Born in April of 1412, he was part of a renowned artistic family, with his brothers Paul and Hermann also being artists. Jean's artistic skills were evident in his various works throughout history. In December, Jean collaborated with Paul to create an exquisite piece at the Chateau de Vincennes. The attention to detail and vibrant colors showcased their immense talent. Similarly, in October at the Louvre, they worked alongside Jean Colombe to produce another masterpiece that captivated viewers. Moving on to September, Jean and Paul joined forces again at the Chateau de Saumur. Their collaboration resulted in a stunning artwork that depicted the beauty of this historical site. In July, it was solely Paul who created an awe-inspiring piece showcasing the Chateau at Poitiers. May brought us a unique creation by Jean himself as he portrayed the town of Riom with great skill and precision. His ability to capture every intricate detail transported viewers back to this 15th-century town. April saw yet another remarkable work by Jean as he crafted an extraordinary depiction of the Chateau de Dourdan. The level of craftsmanship displayed here is truly commendable. In March, both Paul and Jean Colombe contributed their talents to create a captivating scene at the Chateau de Lusignan. February introduced us to one of Paul's solo creations - a village covered in snow during winter time; it evoked feelings of tranquility and serenity. November showcased Jean Colombe's talent as he illustrated pigs feeding on acorns - a true testament to his ability to bring life into his art. August presented us with another impressive work by Jean as he portrayed the grandeur of the Chateau d'Etampes through his brushstrokes.
