Jose Guadalupe Posada: The Artist Behind the Broadsheets Jose Guadalupe Posada, a Mexican artist known for his captivating drawings and prints, left an indelible mark on the world of art. His work often depicted double-edged stories that ranged from murder to miracles. One of his famous broadsheets tells the chilling tale of Dionisio Silverio, a murderer who met his fate at the hands of a firing squad on Puente de los Gallos. The execution was captured in vivid detail by Posada, relaying both fear and justice. In another broadsheet, Posada narrated a ballad about a man who stood outside his lover's window serenading her with heartfelt songs.
