Jyvaskyla, Finland - a picturesque city that offers breathtaking landscapes and thrilling events. From hosting the FIA World Rally Championship to being home to stunning wildlife, this place has it all. In August 2012, Jyvaskyla came alive with the roar of engines as Neste Rally Finland took over the city. The adrenaline-fueled competition brought excitement and awe-inspiring moments for rally enthusiasts from around the world. But Jyvaskyla isn't just about fast cars and intense races. In March, amidst a snowy backdrop, a graceful Whooper swan gracefully glided through the air, showcasing nature's beauty in its purest form. The enchanting sight continued as Black-veined white butterflies danced in flight while nectaring on Thistle flowers. Their delicate wings painted a mesmerizing picture against the vibrant blooms. During winter months, Pine grosbeaks perched by berries in Rowan trees added pops of color to Jyvaskyla's landscape. These beautiful birds brought life to an otherwise cold and snowy scene. And let's not forget about the adorable Whooper swan chicks nestled on their nest with their watchful mother nearby. This heartwarming sight reminded us of nature's cycle of life and new beginnings. As summer arrived, Silver-washed fritillary butterflies fluttered elegantly from flower to flower, spreading joy with every beat of their wings. Even squirrels couldn't resist Jyvaskyla's charm. Red squirrels were spotted feasting on Maple seeds high up in trees – a reminder that even small creatures find solace in this captivating city. Winter didn't dampen Jyvaskyla's allure either; Pine grosbeak females found nourishment among snow-covered Rowan trees while Bohemian waxwings delightedly devoured berries against a pristine white backdrop. December welcomed Fieldfares feeding on Rowan berries, creating a harmonious scene of nature's bounty.
