Amidst the backdrop of Taiwan's Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Park, the East and West came together in Pacific Victory Conclave during 1943-44, as allied leaders, including Chiang Kai-Shek and Madame Chiang Kai-Shek, gathered in Taipei to discuss post-war rebuilding.
