In 1656, a Native American Catholic saint named Kateri Tekakwitha emerged as a symbol of faith and resilience after facing immense hardships. Her story was immortalized in a painting by Father Claude Chauchetiere, capturing her unwavering devotion. Another formidable figure bearing the name Katharine was none other than Katherine of Aragon, the first queen of Henry VIII.
