In the aftermath of destruction, nature reveals its lifeless beauty. As I wander through the forest, a path emerges amidst the charred remains of trees. Against a backdrop of an ominous sky, a burnt tree stands tall, its branches reaching out to touch the heavens. The close-up texture of another burnt tree tells a story of resilience and survival. Amidst this desolate landscape, I come across more burned trees standing as silent witnesses to a devastating fire that once ravaged this serene forest. The image before me is hauntingly captivating – burnt trees against an expansive sky background. As I continue my journey through this post-apocalyptic scenery, each step brings me closer to understanding the fragility and impermanence of life itself. It's as if I'm visiting a French morgue where nature mourns its fallen comrades. The words of Longfellow's "Excelsior" echo in my mind - striving ever upwards despite adversity. Just like Palestine's Wadi Quelt offers breathtaking views towards the Dead Sea and Jordan from Jericho in West Bank; even amidst destruction, there is still beauty to be found. This collection captures not just images but emotions too - reminding us that life can sometimes be reduced to ashes but also teaching us about resilience and hope for renewal.
