Linda Pitkin, a renowned underwater photographer, captures the mesmerizing beauty of marine life in her stunning images. In Turtle Rock, located in the Passage du Cavallo of the Lavezzi Archipelago, she unveils the vibrant world beneath the waves. A Painted comber gracefully glides through turquoise waters while nearby, Yellow encrusting anemones and sponges create a colorful tapestry. Underneath the cover of darkness at Elephant Bay, Linda documents a Common octopus on its nocturnal hunt. The creature's tentacles reach out with precision as it searches for prey amidst rocky crevices. Moving to Turtle Rock once again, Linda encounters a Two-banded Seabream swimming effortlessly against the current. Intrigued by smaller creatures too, Linda captures an enchanting moment where a Nudibranch or Sea slug feeds on a sponge. The delicate balance between predator and prey is beautifully portrayed in this image. The symbiotic relationship between Gorgonian coral and Yellow encrusting anemones is showcased on another rock face captured by Linda's lens. These fascinating organisms coexist harmoniously in their underwater habitat. Venturing into Cala di Grecu within the Lavezzi Islands, Linda spots a majestic Dusky grouper elegantly navigating through seagrass beds. Amongst rocks scattered across these pristine waters lies another Dusky grouper - its presence commanding attention. A shoal of Striped or Mediterranean barracuda catches Linda's eye at Perduto within the Lavezzi Islands' depths. Their sleek bodies shimmer under sunlight as they move together in perfect unison. Through her captivating photographs, Linda Pitkin transports us into an awe-inspiring realm where nature thrives beneath azure waves. Her dedication to capturing these moments allows us to appreciate and protect our precious marine ecosystems for generations to come.
