The impact of dedicated individuals like Ann Liddell cannot be overstated. In 1974, another hero bid farewell as a beloved lollipop man retired from his post in Teesside—his presence had brought comfort to countless families throughout his career. Fast forward to September 14th, 1993—lollipop lady Susan Hall stood tall at Crescent Road's Worcester Street Crossing while escorting children safely across bustling streets. Janet Taylor also played her part diligently at the junction of Trunk Road with Kings Road—an unsung hero who ensured young lives remained out of harm's way.
