In the margins of art and literature, hidden treasures await. But it is not just majestic scenes that grace these margins; they also hold whimsical surprises like A Hound and Rabbit Jousting or A Rabbit Funeral Procession found within MS 1-2005, fol. 151r and fol. 152r respectively – playful moments frozen forever on parchment. And amidst all this wonderment emerges unexpected characters like A Naked Musician depicted on MS 1-2005, fol. 80v from the Macclesfield Psalter – reminding us that even within serious works there can be room for lightheartedness.
