From Union Mills to the iconic Snaefell Mountain Course, Maurice's skill and determination propelled him to numerous victories. In 1956, Maurice Candy showcased his talent at Union Mills during the Senior TT race. Riding with Peter Woollett on a Norton machine, they displayed flawless teamwork and secured a memorable performance that would be etched in history. The partnership between Maurice Candy and C E Larkin in 1959 brought them to new heights at the Sidecar TT event. Mounted on a powerful Norton bike, their synchronicity was unmatched as they conquered every twist and turn of the course. 1971 proved to be another remarkable year for Maurice Candy as he joined forces with Eddy Fletcher. Together on a BSA motorcycle, they dominated both the 750cc and 500cc Sidecar TT races. Their exceptional skills earned them well-deserved accolades from fans and fellow competitors alike. Throughout his career, Maurice formed formidable partnerships that pushed boundaries in sidecar racing. In 1967 alongside Rex Du Pont under MJC team colors or in 1969 alongside Eddie Fletcher riding BSA machinery - these collaborations exemplified true camaraderie while chasing victory lap after lap. Not one to rest on past achievements alone, Maurice continued his pursuit of glory into the '70s. In 1973, once again paired with Eddy Fletcher aboard a mighty BSA outfit; their performances were nothing short of awe-inspiring as they battled against fierce competition for top honors. Maurice's dedication extended beyond individual triumphs; he also embraced Yamaha power when partnering with William Corlett during the thrilling Sidecar TT race of 1980.
