A humble yet powerful symbol of exchange and value, the one dollar bill has a rich history. From the Trans-Mississippi Exposition's commemorative plate proof sheet of 1898, to Queen Isabella's pledge of her jewels on a single bill and a block of thirty-two from 1893, the one dollar has told stories of history and determination.
