"Paolo Mercuri: A Journey Through Time and Fashion" Step into the world as we explore various historical costumes from different centuries. In the 15th century, young page boys were dressed in exquisite attire. One boy stands out with his black toque, yellow doublet with black sleeves, red stockings, and green straps. Another wears a green hat, tunic with a velvet hem, and a striped doublet. Traveling back to the 13th century, we encounter a military costume of a crusader. Clad in iron helmet and chainmail armor, he dons a yellow tunic adorned with buckler featuring a white cross on red field. His cape is lined in ermine while his feet are covered by vibrant red shoes and gold spurs. This depiction can be found at the Basilica of San Zeno. Moving forward to the 15th century again, we witness an elegant Venetian nobleman wearing a red toque along with a scarlet cape lined with white silk and topped off by an intricately designed hood. In another era – the 14th century – we meet an Italian cavalry man sporting scarlet bonnet matched with tabard bordered in gold and ermine. Completing his ensemble is a black belt holding up yellow stockings. An English noblewoman from the same period catches our eye as she adorns herself in regal fashion - her headdress boasts of both red crown and violet ear covers while her white veil flows gracefully behind her. Her cape is decorated with heraldic lions symbolizing her lineage. A German knight hailing from the late 15th century showcases strength through his steel helmet embellished with gold details alongside plate armor made of steel accented by golden joints held together by an emerald belt. Noblemen from Florence during this time also make their appearance - one gentleman wears scarlet hood paired beautifully against a cape lined in brown fur and a black velvet doublet.
