Wilber and Orville Wright with Flyer II remind us that even amidst endless grasslands, dreams can take flight. Photographer Laton Alton Huffman captures life on Montana's plains through his lens - cowboys like Honeycut atop his trusted steed White Star epitomize freedom under big skies. August 1904 immortalizes their spirit forever etched upon these rolling hills. Yet not all who traversed these boundless landscapes found solace or success; Mormons caught in a prairie blizzard en route to Utah faced unimaginable hardships but emerged stronger from adversity. Lastly, we encounter Crow chief whose presence evokes both reverence and curiosity about ancient traditions passed down through generations on this sacred land.
