One of his notable works is "The Donation of Rome" which showcases intricate details in its fresco depicting the historical event that took place in 1523-24. Another masterpiece by Giulio Romano is "The Battle of the Milvian Bridge, " located in the Room of Constantine within Raphael Rooms. This stunning fresco, created around 1520-24, captures a pivotal moment in history with its vibrant colors and dynamic composition. In addition to his frescoes, Romano also displayed his talent through other mediums such as oil on canvas. "Lady at the Mirror, " painted circa 1520, exemplifies his skillful use of light and shadow to create a captivating portrait. Giulio Romano's versatility extended beyond painting; he was also an accomplished architect. An etching from 1817 depicts him working diligently on one of his architectural projects. Amongst Romano's most celebrated works are those found within the Room of Psiche. The southern wall displays a breathtaking scene called the Banquet of the gods, showcasing Romano's ability to capture movement and emotion through fresco artistry. Another impressive sight can be found in the Room of Giants where detailed lighting highlights various elements on its southern wall. This attention to detail adds depth and dimensionality to this grand space. The Camera del Sole e della Luna (Chamber of the Sun and Moon) further demonstrates Giulio Romano's mastery as both a painter and architect with its exquisite frescoes adorning every corner. Moving towards another section within these magnificent rooms, we encounter Mars, Venus, and Adonis depicted on the northern wall of the Room of Psiche.
