Ted Powell, a dedicated member of the Barry lifeboat team since March 1st, 1999, showcased his unwavering commitment to maritime safety. His passion echoed through every wave as he stood tall among his fellow crew members. The unveiling of Penarth lifeboat Spirit of Penarth marked yet another milestone in ship shipping history. John Batty, Chairman of Vale along with Ray Brown - Coxswain of Barry lifeboat - shared their joyous pride in witnessing this momentous occasion. Richie Tutton's name resonated with gratitude as he too played a vital role on that fateful day - January 19th, 1998. His heroic efforts will forever be etched in our hearts. Ray Brown's dedication was undeniable; his service to protecting lives at sea earned him admiration far and wide. On that same memorable day - January 19th, 1998 - Ray demonstrated why he is considered one of Barry lifeboat's finest members. As we bid farewell to the old Barry lifeboat and welcomed its replacement Margaret Frances Love into our fleet; Daniel Brown stood proud amongst his comrades on January 19th, 1998 – a date forever etched in our memories.
