"Moss Campion: A Resilient Beauty of Alpine Landscapes" In June 2009, a breathtaking sight adorned the rocky terrain of Liechtenstein - the delicate flowers of Silene acaulis, commonly known as Moss Campion. This small but mighty plant showcased its vibrant blooms against the rugged backdrop, showcasing nature's ability to thrive in even the harshest conditions. A color lithograph captured another variation of this enchanting species, Polygala Calcarea; Silene Acaulis. The image revealed intricate details and showcased the diversity within this captivating genus. Venturing into Wyoming's Beartooth Mountains unveiled an up-close encounter with Moss Campion.
