Printed by Miles and Company in London. Cyril Maude, the star of the original production (at the Playhouse Theatre in London) and other touring productions was not on this particular part of the tour. Date: 1900s

The Barretts of Wimpole Street, by Rudolf Besier, production by Prince Littler. First produced at the Malvern Festival, August 1930, then at the Queens Theatre, London, September 1930. Elizabeth, in blue, looks on as her furious father has thrown down Henrietta because she is seeing a young man whom she loves. This key incident in Act IV decides Elizabeth to elope with Robert Browning. Touring to the Opera House, Cork, March 1933(?). Date: circa 1930

European Gentleman driven Triumphal Arch, Palmyra, Syria

An eminent European Gentleman being driven through the Monumental Arch of Triumph at Palmyra, Syria in the eastern section of Palmyra's colonnade built at the time of Emperor Septimius Severus, probably to celebrate the emperor's victories over the Parthians. This stunning architectural survival was partially destroyed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS / ISIL / Daesh) in October 2015. Date: circa 1930s
