"Vaisselle: A Reflection of Culture, Art, and Society" From the grand banquet halls of Lyon to the cozy cafes in Spain, it has always played a significant role in our lives, and is not merely a collection of plates and utensils; it represents our traditions, beliefs, and even political ideologies. In 1893, as Edouard Drumont concluded his speech at The Banquet of Lyon, his nationalist and antisemitic views were met with thunderous applause from his supporters. This moment was captured in an engraving by Olivier Pichat for La Libre Parole - a testament to how they are become intertwined with politics. Moving across borders and time periods, we find ourselves immersed in Juan Gris' Spanish Cubist painting at a cafe in 1914. Here, vaisselle becomes an artistic expression that challenges conventional perspectives.
