Wayland, a name that echoes through history and folklore, holds tales of mystery and adventure. It all begins with Wayland Smiths Cave, a place shrouded in ancient secrets. Lady Young, formerly known as Lady Scott, unravels the enigma surrounding this mystical cavern alongside Peter Scott and Wayland Young. In the depths of Berkshire's Bradfield Union workhouse lies another chapter in Wayland's story. Flibbertibbet, disguised as a devilish figure, manages to calm a towering giant when guided by none other than Wayland himself. Their journey leads them to Kenilworth where Amy is brought under his protection. A master of disguise, we find Wayland assuming the role of a pedlar within the lush gardens of Kenilworth. This vivid illustration captures his cunning nature perfectly. But it doesn't end there; our hero's legacy stretches back even further to Franks Casket in Northumbria during AD 700 – an artifact crafted from whalebone that whispers tales of forgotten times. Maps become our guideposts into modernity as we explore Middlesex Sudbury Vector Road Map and Middlesex Wayland Vector Road Map – both bearing traces of the path once treaded by our legendary protagonist. Puck lends his magical aid to Wayland while he forges swords fit for gods themselves in 1909's captivating depiction. The very essence of craftsmanship intertwines with divine intervention. Fast forward to present times; we encounter two establishments carrying the name "Wayland" - one being Attleborough's prestigious Wayland Hospital nestled in Norfolk and another being Rocklands All Saints' historic Union Workhouse known as Wayland Union Workhouse.
