In this superb picture, Christ is represented amongst his disciples; he wears a white robe, which falls off his shoulder and shows the breast. The Saviour is addressing St. Peter, who kisses the hand of his Master, who gives him the keys of heaven and hell; St. Paul, St. John and St. James being also present, and listening with surprise and attention.
