Commissioned by Emperor Rudolf II, this artwork showcases two beloved flowers of the Low Countries: the Crested Hyacinth and the Cornflower. Anselmus de Boodt, a renowned scholar and botanist, meticulously documented the natural world around him, while Elias Verhulst brought his observations to life through his artistic talents.
