God Sends the Locusts to Egypt," where the deity is shown releasing a swarm of locusts to punish the Pharaoh and the people of Egypt for refusing to release the Israelites from slavery. The locusts are depicted as a dark cloud of insects, covering the land and devouring all vegetation in their path. On the verso side, we find the scene of "God Sends Hail to Egypt," another plague inflicted upon Egypt as part of the Exodus story. Here, God is shown sending down hailstones, accompanied by thunder and lightning, to devastate the land and its crops. The Pharaoh and his people are depicted in the bottom left corner, seeking refuge under trees and in buildings, while the monarch himself appears to be prostrating himself before the divine power. This woodcut print, with its intricate details and vivid colors, is a testament to the artistic and religious heritage of the 15th century. It is a reminder of the biblical stories that have shaped Western civilization, and the enduring power of religious art to convey complex concepts and narratives."
