Known as "Fighting Bob," La Follette served Wisconsin with dedication and tenacity, holding various public offices including Representative from 1885 to 1891, Governor from 1901 to 1906, and Senator from 1906 to 1925. La Follette's political legacy began in the late 19th century when he was first elected as a Representative for Wisconsin. He later went on to serve two terms as the Governor of Wisconsin, where he gained a reputation for his progressive policies and reforms. In 1906, La Follette was elected to the United States Senate, where he continued to advocate for the rights of the common man and championed progressive causes.
