Frank Howe Sugg (1862-1933) was one of the few sportsmen to achieve a Derbyshire double, to have played at least one first team game for both Derbyshire County Cricket Club and Derby County Football Club. Well known throughout the sporting word, he later bacame an umpire after his playing career ended and formed Sugg Sports in 1888. The business was a great success and was a leading supplier of football, cricket and fishing equipment. The company continued trading until 2002
