The Colinderies was an exhibition organized under the patronage of the Prince of Wales at South Kensington that aimed to showcase colonial and Indian cultures. In this image, we witness these esteemed visitors being warmly received by the Archbishop at Christchurch Gate, which served as the principal entrance to Canterbury Cathedral.
