The new brewery for Harp Lager at Manor Park was built by Laing with the design of the project being carried out by architects and engineers from the Group Technical Services, working with engineers from Arthur Guinness, Son and Company Limited. John Laing Construction Ltd began the building work in 1961 and the brewery was opened in 1963. The brewery was taken over by Bass in 1979, then later by Molson Coors, subsequently closing in 2015

The construction of this state-of-the-art brewery was undertaken by John Laing Construction Ltd and completed in 1963. The architects and engineers from Group Technical Services collaborated with Arthur Guinness, Son and Company Limited to design this magnificent facility. It quickly became a symbol of innovation and excellence within the brewing industry. Over the years, Harp Lager Brewery underwent several ownership changes - first acquired by Bass in 1979 before eventually falling under the umbrella of Molson Coors. Sadly, its doors closed for good in 2015.
