Designed by Bruno Schmitz, it was made of cement and granite the stones weighed up to eighteen tons each and the total cost was 300, 000 of which 12, 000 was spent on the very visible scaffolding. The figures shown in the drawing are some of the dozen stone giants, each 39 feet high which surround the monument at 230 feet. Date: 1911
