His keen intelligence and dedication to the field of neuropathology are evident in his focused expression. Corsellis was a pioneer in the study of multiple sclerosis (MS), a debilitating disease of the central nervous system, and made significant contributions to our understanding of its pathology. Born in Vienna, Austria, Corsellis studied medicine at the University of Vienna before moving to the United States in 1951.
