This photograph captures the distinguished figure of Granville George Leveson-Gower, 2nd Earl Granville (1815-1891), an English statesman of great importance during the late Victorian era. His efforts helped to prevent a constitutional crisis and pave the way for significant political reforms in the United Kingdom.
