Born in Paris, Daguessau began his career as a lawyer in the Parlement of Paris, the highest judicial body in the kingdom. His exceptional legal acumen and dedication to the pursuit of justice soon earned him recognition and respect among his peers. In 1702, he was appointed to the prestigious position of Avocat General, a role that placed him at the heart of the French legal system. However, Daguessau's interests extended beyond the law.
