The Hoffman Girls, the dance troupe founded, managed and choreographed by Gertrude Hoffman, pictured in rehearsals for Leap Year which had had a successful run at the London Hippodrome and was moving on to the Palace Theatre in Manchester. As the original Leap Year dancers had been contracted to give a show at the Folies Bergere in Paris, Hoffman recruited a new set for the Manchester revue. They are pictured here in the gymnasium practising for part of their act which required them to climb and hang from webbing. Date: 1925
