King Arthur was a (possibly mythical) British King from the 5th and early 6th Century, who is believed to have fought the Saxon invaders. It is said that he only chose the noblest of men to fight for him - here he is approcahed by a Knight, keen to fight at his side. King Arthurs army eventually were defeated and were pushed westward into Wales. Date: Circa 600 AD
