Unfortunately, as of my visit in May 2017, the Cock Tavern had closed its doors and was covered in scaffolding. The pub, a beloved institution in the community, now stands empty, a testament to the ever-changing landscape of urban London. The Hoare and Company Limited, which operated the pub at the time, is not mentioned in this description to maintain the focus on the historical significance of the building itself.
