Established in the early 20th century, the pub, also known as a "boozer" or "local," has been a beloved gathering place for the community for many decades. The Melbourne Hotel's rich history is reflected in the Trading Record detailed on the reverse of this print, which documents its operation from 1934 through to 1961. As of July 2018, the pub had undergone a name change and was known as The Star, part of the O'Neills chain operated by Mitchells & Butlers.
