The pub, which was rebuilt on the same site on December 4, 1963, stands proudly on the junction of Manor Road and Hainhault Road, close to St Winifred's War Memorial. The Prince of Wales pub, managed by the Charrington and Company Limited, was a beloved local establishment that welcomed patrons for decades. However, unfortunately, it closed its doors in the early 1990s, and the site is now home to a complex of flats, situated behind the Shell Petrol station. This photograph, taken in 1965, offers a glimpse into the past, capturing the essence of a bygone era when the pub served as a hub for the community.
