This photograph showcases the historic Queen of Hearts pub in Queensbury, Greater London. Established in the early 20th century, the pub, affectionately known as a 'boozer' or 'local,' was once a beloved watering hole for the community. The image, taken from the left side, reveals the pub's charming facade, adorned with ornate details and a large, illuminated Queen of Hearts emblem. The reverse of this print offers a glimpse into the pub's rich history. The Trading Record, dated 1941 and 1961, reveals the Queen of Hearts' past and its connection to the Charrington and Company Limited. This London-based brewery played a significant role in the pub's history, supplying beer and maintaining its operations. Sadly, as of July 2018, the Queen of Hearts pub, located at HA7 1DH, has been demolished and replaced by new housing developments. The pub, a cherished piece of Queensbury's history, is no longer standing, but its memory lives on through this beautiful photograph. This print is not only a stunning addition to any decor, but also a reminder of the history and character that once defined this beloved local establishment.
