This photograph captures the historic Royal Arms pub in Kentish Town, London, as it looked prior to its renaming in 2018. The image, taken from an angle on the corner, showcases the pub's distinctive red brick facade adorned with ornate white detailing and the iconic Royal Arms emblem. Established in the early 20th century, the pub, which was then known as the Hoare and Company Limited Royal Arms, had a rich trading history that spanned several decades. The back of the print reveals the pub's records, detailing its operations from 1935 and 1961. With its traditional charm and warm, inviting atmosphere, the Royal Arms was a beloved local watering hole for many years. Today, it continues to serve the community under a new name, the Lion & Unicorn, but the memories and history of the Royal Arms live on in this evocative photograph.
