This evocative photograph captures the corner view of the Tiger Public House, located in the vibrant and historic area of Deptford, London. The Tiger PH, as it was fondly known to the locals, was a cherished part of the community, serving as a popular watering hole and gathering place for generations. The red brick facade, adorned with ornate details and the iconic tiger sign, stands out against the backdrop of the bustling streets of Deptford. The Tiger PH was a pub in the truest sense of the word, a place where friends and neighbors could come together to share a pint and a good conversation. It was a place where stories were told, friendships were forged, and memories were made. The pub was run by Hoare and Company Limited, a name synonymous with the rich history of Deptford and its pub scene. Sadly, as of July 2018, the Tiger PH, like so many other historic pubs, was no more. Demolished to make way for new development, the loss of this beloved institution was deeply felt by the community. The back of this photograph bears the address of the pub, a poignant reminder of what once was. The Tiger PH may be gone, but its spirit lives on in the memories of those who knew it and in the photographs that capture its essence.
